Installation notes:
1. Disconnect internet during installation, and/or make sure to BLOCK internet
access for the program (block unwanted traffic by using e.g. a firewall).
2. Select 'I purchased and downloaded the software' -> 'Additional Options
if License file cannot be found' -> 'I cannot find the License File and
want to install Diskeeper as trialware'.
3. After installation run the patch (x32 users run Patch, x64 user run setup.exe).
4. Wait until it's finished, and then close the patch.
5. Start Diskeeper.
>> Done!
Important notes:
>> To avoid a possible online de-activation of the license it's recommended
to permanently block internet access for Diskeeper:
1. Permanently block internet access for Diskeeper with e.g. a firewall:
> Block internet access through 'Program Control' from your firewall.
> Or set your firewall 'Program Control' to 'Ask what to do/Decide yourself'.
2. Make sure to block internet access for e.g.:
C:\Program Files\Diskeeper Corporation\Diskeeper\.....
> Permanently block any attempt of Diskeeper to connect to internet.
3. Do NOT update Diskeeper online (do NOT check for program updates)!
4. If available, uncheck/disable the option 'Check for updates automatically'.
Help, Troubleshooting, General Info:
>> The patch may be blocked and removed by your antivirus software when it's
launched, even if the patch itself is not detected by your antivirus software.
>> If the patch is removed by your antivirus software then restore & exclude
it through your antivirus (Quarantine or History, or something similar).
>> If the patch is detected/blocked by your antivirus software then add it to
the exclusions lists of real-time protection and auto-scan. You may need
to temporarily disable real-time protection and auto-scan when adding
the patch to the exclusions lists, or when using patch.
>> You may need to run the patch as Administrator
(right-click on the patch and choose 'Run as Administrator').
>> You may need to run the patch in Safe Mode (F8) as Administrator
(eventually within the program install directory of Diskeeper).
